like it said on the previous page, i started collecting business cards when i was pretty young. the idea of the cards, all about the same size and same material, but each with different bits of information on them, was appealing in a similar way to mtg or pokemon. except, they didn't have the emotional connection to lil characters (which got overwhelming to me) or memorizing game mechanics in a deck-builder (too lazy :3), and i liked the freedom of that. now, several years later, i'm pretty proud of picking this up as a collecting hobby instead of the tons of other collecting hobbies out there because i don't have to spend a single cent on it. when i'm at a restaurant or like literally any business i can snag one for free, and craft fairs are absolute treasure troves, i've gotten probably thirty or more at a time from those.

as mentioned above, craft fairs can be an excellent source of business cards, and this is a haul i got from one of them.

this is the oldest picture of my collection that i could find, taken on june 6 2024. i didn't make a big deal out of documenting it before and after then, and im not sure exactly when i started collecting but im sure i didn't have a phone to even take a picture at the time
